The build up to this weekends racing can only really be described as spicy, visas were late coming through, so late some pilots and teams ended up rescheduling their flights. Journalists had booking issues with hotels, we heard rumors of snakes on track and overall it was lots of build up to what turned out to be a wonderful weekend of racing.

Turn 1 provided much action with multiple pilots running wide after missing their braking point, over the global feed Simon Crafar said that this could be due to the fact that that part of the track felt a lot like Sepang and the pilots left it too late to brake.

Repsol Honda showed hope after a strong Friday saw both Marc Marquez and Joan Mir advance directly into Q2. I had to have a long think about when the last time this occurred, and well, that says a lot about the progress we are seeing from the Honda Project currently. Marc Marquez was able to keep up the momentum onto Saturday with a strong P3 finish. Unfortunately team mate Joan Mir crashed out of P4 in the Sprint but has a much stronger Sunday with a P5

LCR had a mixed weekend, while Alex Rins is still sidelined with his broken leg. Stefan Bradl, his replacement rider crashed out of the Sprint in the first lap, the Sunday race saw all Honda pilots finish in the points with Bradl securing 1 point and Takaai Nakagami finishing in P11.

Pramac Ducati had mixed results yet again. World championship hopeful Jorge Martin took the top step of the podium on the Sprint, he followed this with [lasdlfaldsfl] in the Sunday Grand Prix race. Team mate Johan Zarco crashed out of the Sprint with another DNF for the Frenchmen,

VR46 saw friendly fire on Saturday with Luca Marini crashing into the back of Marco Bezzecchi, Marini crashed out and Bezzecchi started a battle to the front that saw him finishing in a remarkable P5, very impressive considering the current climate of overtaking struggles in MotoGP.

Gresini Ducati went from high to low, Alex Marquez secured his spot in Q2 with a blistering lap followed by a brutal crash leaving him with three broken ribs that will no doubt leave him sidelined for at minimum Japan. His teammate Fabio Di Gianntonio showed strength all through the weekend.

Factory Ducati is still one contracted rider out, with Enea Bastinini still out due to injury. Saturday saw Pecco Bagnaia in damage control mode after Jorge Martin's magnificent ride. The world champion caused heartbreak on Sunday after winning a battle on track with Jorge Martin he promptly crashed out leading Martin to pick up 20 championship points.

Yellow flags caused heartache for KTM with Brad Binder missing a straight run into Q2 due to a yellow flag in P1, the same theme followed through in Q1, robbing Binder of a solid start position. This didn't stop the Sunday man from putting on both a Sunday and Saturday performence with a P4 in both the Sprint and the Grand Prix.

GasGas suffered a similar fate with August Fernandez having his flying lap canceled due to the same yellow flag. A. Fernandez wrangled a p11 in the sprint and didn't complete the race. Teammate Pol Espargaro completed the race with a P13 finish but didn't complete the sprint race.

Fabio Quatararo showed just how incredibly talented he is, on Sunday he put that Yamaha on the Podium after a fierce battle with Jorge Martin in the dying laps of the grand Prix.
